SPORTS AND GOLF FITNESS CLINIC

Improved performance. Better technique. Injury prevention. Longevity. Mental Focus. Recovery.

Tightness, shoulder pain, rotator cuff injuries, wrist and elbow pain, tight ankles, hamstrings, calves, hip flexors, knee pain and degeneration, Achillies tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, neck pain, tight upper back, lower back pain.

These are the things sport does to you!

Most sports are endlessly repetitive and every sport involves stresses through your body. Good technique requires good body mechanics, which require both strength and appropriate flexibility.

  • Runners need to be able to stand tall without their lower backs collapsing into swayback
  • Cyclists need great ankle-knee-hip alignment to prevent knee pain
  • Golf is a rotation sport and for golfers to reach their golf potential, they must be able to repeatedly rotate efficiently and explosively.

Golfers with inadequate postural alignment, muscle imbalance and associated joint motion restrictions will not be able to rotate efficiently and possibly increase in incidence of musculoskeletal pain.

Recurring pain in the back, shoulder, knee, wrist and elbow is much too common amongst golfers: Swimmers need good movement and strength at their shoulders.

  • In Tennis or Squash due to the explosive muscle contractions needed for the sprinting, jumping and quick changes of directions, poor flexibility of the quadriceps, hamstrings and variations in leg and foot type can contribute to extra load on the tendon and development of jumper’s knee and Achilles injuries.
